On the afternoon of November 6, a delegation led by Hitoshi Takahashi, President of Sendai University of Japan, visited Shenyang Urban Construction University for an exchange. Vice President Li Houyan warmly received President Takahashi and his delegation in Meeting Room 103 of Shouzheng Building and held a discussion.
Li Houyan provided a detailed introduction to the university’s distinctive educational features and development plans. Takahashi elaborated on Sendai University’s outstanding strengths in related fields and its experience in international education. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics such as student exchanges and joint talent cultivation, exploring cooperative pathways based on the actual conditions of the two universities. They are committed to infusing more international elements into their educational endeavors and enhancing the global perspective of talent development. After thorough consultations on educational cooperation matters, the two parties successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding, agreeing to maintain close communication to facilitate the implementation of various collaborative initiatives and achieve mutual benefits. This meeting also marks the beginning of a new phase in the friendly cooperative relationship between the two institutions.
Following the discussion, the delegation interacted cordially with students enrolled in Japanese courses and those interested in Japanese language and culture in Meeting Room 105 of Shouzheng Building, engaging in close exchanges and sharing. Subsequently, accompanied by Li Houyan, the delegation toured the campus environment and key teaching and research facilities of the university, gaining a firsthand impression of its educational conditions and developmental atmosphere.
The delegation included Ma Dongmei, Director of the International Office of Sendai University, Li Xiangrong, Chief Representative of its China Office, Sun Dan, President of Wanye Education and Training School, and Sun Yumeng, Assistant to the President. Representing our university were Wang Changfeng, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Li Xuefeng, Director of the International Exchange Office, Yao Shu, Director of the Physical Education Department, and Hu Xiaoyu, Japanese Language Teacher. All accompanied the visit and participated in the discussions.
